⚾️ Pitching Primer
Tarik Skubal at LAA (SP2)
This is a pretty clear smash spot for Skubal against what could be the Trout-less Angels. Skubal has a 10.38 K/9 and the Angels have struck out at the second-highest clip this year (26.6%).
Logan Webb vs. COL (SP6)
Colorado strikes out at the highest rate in the league (28.4%) and this game will be played in San Fransisco. Webb is second in xFIP (2.15) on the year and has both a floor/ceiling combination here.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto at ATL (SP8)
His start got scratched this past week, screwing over managers (including me), but he’s still an elite option with the third-highest xFIP (2.23) and sixth-highest K/9 (11.38).
Other Starters Include:
Dylan Cease at PIT (SP10)
Jacob deGrom vs. SEA (SP12)
Framber Valdez at CWS (SP14)
Hunter Brown at CWS (SP24)
Nick Pivetta at PIT (SP28)
💰 Stacks
Giants
Rockies pitching continues to be #bad.
The Giants have been slightly below league-average in offense this year, but a matchup like this one should help boost their players.
Heliot Ramos, Willy Adames, and Matt Chapman look like strong plays at the top.
Astros
White Sox pitching is almost as bad as Colorado pitching.
These aren’t the same Stros of the past, but I think a Jeremy Peña, Jose Altuve, Christian Walker stack could do some damage.
Athletics
The A’s sneakily have the eighth-highest ISO on the season (.171).
The matchup against Miami is solid, and I love a Lawrence Butler, Tyler Soderstrom stack.
And unlike many other spots, there’s no risk for rain here.
Other Stacks Include:
Yankees, Cubs, Reds, Twins
