Baltimore - 49% chance of rain Tuesday/82% Wednesday

⚾️ Pitching Primer
Corbin Burnes vs TOR - He hasn’t flashed a ton of upside lately but he’s shown a tremendous floor. Toronto is about league average across the board but strike out at the fourth-lowest rate in the league (19.9%).
Dylan Cease vs COL - Cease is coming off his best game of the season and now draws one of the best spots for a pitcher. Cease is fourth in K% (32.4%) and Colorado whiffs at the second-highest rate in the league (26.6%).
Framber Valdez vs OAK - Oakland strikes out at the fifth-highest rate (25.5%) and Valdez is as safe as they come. His 61.6% ground ball rate is ranked fourth in the majors. The A’s shockingly have the fourth-highest team ISO (.167) but Valdez should keep the ball in the yard here.
Tyler Glasnow at SFG - San Fran is nothing to be feared and Glasnow could be considered the best pitcher in the league. He is ranked second in xFIP (2.45) and second in K% (33.6%). The Giants are in the bottom half of the league across the board and just lost Michael Conforto and Jung Hoo Lee.
Other Starters Include:
Christian Javier vs OAK
Pablo Lopez vs NYY
George Kirby vs KCR
Aaron Nola at NYM
📞 Call To The Bullpen
There are ten teams playing four games this week, which means we should be focusing on the ten closers from those teams.
Except for the closer committee nonsense for the Dodgers. Don’t roster those guys.
I also would stay away from Kenley Jansen because he just pitched in three games straight.
Closer Options:
Hector Neris
Alexis Diaz
Josh Hader
Edwin Diaz
Medieval Mason Miller
Jose Alvarado
David Bednar
Pete Fairbanks
💰 Stacks
Astros
This Houston squad has been a major disappointment outside of Kyle Tucker, who has been incredible.
He’s leading the league in homers and also has the sixth-highest wOBA (.416) and sixth-highest wRC+ (173). I like a Tucker, Altuve, Alvarez stack here.
Phillies
The Phillies also draw four games and will face some very questionable Mets pitchers.
Citi Field isn’t great for offensive production but Philly’s offense is ranked second in wOBA (.337) and wRC+ (117).
Just keep an eye on Schwarber and Realmuto as they are both listed as “day-to-day”.
Padres
San Diego draws just three games but they will face a trio of Rockies pitchers that have FantasyPros rankings of 400 or higher.
This game won’t be played at Coors but I expect one or two of these Padres to pop off this week.
I’d tell you to play Jackson Merrill but he doesn’t have a Sorare card yet.
Other Stacks Include:
Rays, Dodgers, Guardians, White Sox
