Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
User “pepich0u” won Limited All Star last week with huge games from Alex Bregman and Bryson Stott.
Andres Muñoz made appearances in two of the Mariners’ games, and was able to secure six strikeouts and two saves.
Aaron Nola also had a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts against the Mets.
Shortly after I hit publish I received this DM on Twitter from “pepich0u” himself.
He subscribes to this newsletter and won first place with the Astros and Phillies stacks that were mentioned in last weeks’ newsletter.
This is what the newsletter is all about. Congrats!

🔎 Multi Game Monitor
All teams play three games!
☔️ Rain Check
Atlanta - Rainy/Stormy all weekend but 38% chance of PM showers Sunday *RISK*
Baltimore - 80% chance of rain Friday/85% chance Saturday.
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Cole Ragans vs OAK - Oakland has some sneaky right-handed power but overall this could be a ceiling game for Ragans. He’s 18th in K% (27.3%) and 15th in xFIP (3.11) on the year. The A’s strike out at the fourth-highest rate in the league (25.7%).
Zac Gallen vs DET - Detroit whiffs at the eighth-highest rate (23.8%) and has the sixth-lowest wRC+ (89). I respect Riley Greene and Kerry Carpenter from the left side but this offense overall is weak. Gallen is 24th in K% (25.3%).
Luis Castillo at BAL - The matchup scares me but Castillo is ranked as the number one SP on FantasyPros. After a slow start to the season, his K% has jumped up to a 10th-best 29% mark. Baltimore strikes out at a league-average rate but ranks highly in several offensive metrics.
Zack Wheeler vs WSH - He’s the number 2 ranked SP on FantasyPros and draws an incredibly soft matchup against Washington. They strike out at the 18th-highest rate (22%) but are ranked bottom-five in most metrics. Wheeler is ranked ninth in K% (30%) and xFIP (2.87).
Other Starters Include:
Shota Imanaga vs PIT
Tarik Skubal at ARI
Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs CIN
Walker Buehler vs CIN
Carlos Rodon vs CWS
Aaron Nola vs WSH
Kevin Gausman vs TBR
📞 Call To The Bullpen
All teams play three games in GW15, so there is no leverage to be had when rostering closers.
Something we can look at this week is closers who have high strikeout rates and who are getting the most save opportunities.
Closer Options:
Mason Miller | 18.65 K/9 | 8 saves
Craig Kimbrel | 13.78 K/9 | 8 saves
Camilo Doval | 12.18 K/9 | 7 saves
David Bednar | 11.25 K/9 | 8 saves
Ryan Helsley | 10.35 K/9 | 13 saves
Clay Holmes | 10.31 K/9 | 12 saves
💰 Stacks
Yankees
The Yankees are fifth in ISO (.165), third in wOBA (.336), and second in wRC+ (120).
This lineup is chock-full of power bats and now draw the second-best pitching matchup on the board this weekend (Rockies are always number one).
This game will also be played at the hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium and the White Sox will deploy three right-handed pitchers.
Of course, we prefer the right-handed bats in New York but this is a fantastic spot for Alex Verdugo, Juan Soto, and Anthony Rizzo.
Phillies
The Nats have Mackenzie Gore lurking in their rotation which always makes things a little more complicated to pick on them.
Washington’s bullpen is also ranked top-ten in xFIP (3.73), but Irvin and Williams are beatable targets. Don’t be fooled by Williams’ 4-0 record.
Most importantly, Philly’s offense is elite and is ranked just behind the Yankees in most offensive metrics.
Other Offenses Include:
Giants, Red Sox, Dodgers, Rangers, Royals
