⏪ Game Week Rewind
Congrats to Eric Anderberg who won his first Sorare contest this week in Rare All Star.
I just had Eric on the podcast last week and he talked about his strategy and what he loves about Sorare MLB.
He is one of the best people in the community and I love it when the good guys win.

🔎 Multi Game Monitor

Chicago - 89% chance of rain Saturday
Cleveland - 89% chance AM rain Sunday
Kansas City - 80% chance of rain Friday
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. COL - His Sorare card is hard to come by but he has shown the highest floor among all starting pitchers this season and now gets to face Colorado. He has a 2.80 xFIP which ranks eighth in the league.
Freddy Peralta vs. CWS - He is only behind Garrett Crochet and Jack Flaherty in K/9 (11.84) and now faces arguably the worst offense in the league. The White Sox whiff about league average but are ranked dead last in just about everything else.
Aaron Nola vs. STL - Nola always shows a high floor and now gets a chance to flash some upside against the Cards. St. Louis strikes out at a league-average rate (22.6%) but have struggled to hit for power this year.
Dylan Cease at KCR - Kansas City scares me a bit at the top of their order and they don’t strike out a ton (18.9%), but Cease is someone to look at any time he toes the rubber. He’s seventh in K% (31.4%) and 18th in xFIP (3.19).
Other Starters Include:
Luis Castillo vs. LAA
Tanner Houck vs. DET
Hunter Greene at CHC
Framber Valdez vs. MIN
Cole Ragans vs. SDP
Joe Ryan at HOU
Chris Bassitt vs. PIT
📞 Call To The Bullpen
All teams play three games so there isn’t much of an advantage to be had with relief pitchers.
The best strategy is to pick closers in series’ that are projected to stay competitive throughout the weekend.
Closer Options:
Jordan Romano - TOR
Alexis Diaz - CIN
Kenley Jansen - BOS
Josh Hader - HOU
Andres Muñoz - SEA
David Bednar - PIT
Jhoan Duran - MIN
💰 Stacks
Dodgers
We have arguably the best offense in the league going against the worst pitching staff in the league. This one is fairly obvious.
The only downside is that this series will take place at Dodger Stadium and not Coors Field.
Austin Gomber has a 2.76 ERA but his xFIP is at 4.17 and the rest of his numbers are on par with those of a Rockies starting pitcher - I.e. bad.
Guardians
Cleveland will face the part of the Nationals rotation that doesn’t include MacKenzie Gore, who has been impressive this season.
The Guards have sneakily been one of the better power-hitting teams in baseball this year. They rank sixth in ISO (.161).
Braves
Losing Ronald Acuña Jr. for the year is a huge blow to this offense, and we haven’t seen their other star hitters outside of Marcell Ozuna put up that big of numbers.
But their matchup against the Athletics is a positive one that can hopefully wake up some of these bats.
