For those new here, I provide an all-in-one place to prepare Sorare MLB managers for the upcoming Game Week every Monday and Friday.

Feel free to message me on X at @Hunter_Himself if you have any questions.

Let’s dive in!

📢 Shoutouts

Shoutout to Sideline Sports subscriber Matt Mirkin for taking second place in Rare Champion.

The Rays had four games and put up a big week against the Twins and the Astros.

And shoutout to Athers, who took down second in Limited Champion!

📋 Roster Movements

In:

  • Mike Trout - Should return to Angels’ lineup today

  • Bryce Miller - Should return from IL to face the Twins Saturday

  • Seth Lugo - Should return from IL today to face Tigers

  • Matt Wallner - Should return from IL today

Out:

  • Bryce Harper - Day to day after being hit on right elbow

  • Christian Walker - Day to day after being hit by pitch on right hand

  • Ronel Blanco - Will have Tommy John surgery, out for the season

🔎 Multi Game Monitor

All teams play three games!

⚾️ Pitching Primer

Tarik Skubal at KCR (SP2)

For a team that has underperformed on offense this season, Kansas City does not strike out that much.

They have the third-lowest K% in MLB (19%)

Skubal is the best pitcher in baseball, though. We just saw him strike out 13 Guardians in a complete game shutout.

And Cleveland whiffs at about league-average.

Garrett Crochet at ATL (SP7)

Crochet has recorded at least 8 strikeouts in three of his last four starts.

He will face the Braves, who are a much better offense now with Ronald Acuña at the top, but they still strike out at about a league-average rate.

Fire up Crochet with confidence in this one.

Spencer Strider vs BOS (SP9)

I don’t love picking on Boston, but they’ve been struggling since losing Alex Bregman, and they play notably worse on the road.

They also strike out at a high rate (23.3%), and we know Strider is one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game.

He’s been solid since returning from Tommy John surgery, particularly in his last outing, where he struck out 7 Phillies.

Other Starters Include:

  • Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs NYY (SP11)

  • Dylan Cease vs PIT (SP13)

  • Jacob deGrom vs STL (SP14)

  • Hunter Brown vs TBR (SP15)

  • Framber Valdez vs TBR (SP16)

  • Bryan Woo vs MIN (SP23)

💰 Stacks

Mets

The Mets get the best matchup against the Rockies this week, although this series will be at Citi Field.

New York is 8th in wRC+ (108) on the year, and a Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, Pete Alonso stack could get the job done this weekend.

Guardians

The Guardians are a tricky team to stack outside of Jose Ramirez, but I can see a sneaky play like Carlos Santana or even Kyle Manzardo pop off in a spot like this.

These Angels pitchers have been struggling, and we’ve seen many teams take advantage of them lately.

Diamondbacks

The DBacks will not face MacKenzie Gore in this series, which is the only arm to worry about in the Washington rotation.

Arizona is fourth in wRC+ (113), and they have several bats that can put up a big score here.

Other Stacks Include:

Dodgers, Yankees, Orioles
