Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
“SickyJackson” took down Limited All Star with huge games from Aaron Judge, Christopher Morel, and Tyler Stephenson.
Also shoutout to “VegasBraves48” for winning this week’s Special Weekly contest.
All players in this one had to be age 25 or younger.
I’m surprised someone was able to win this without Bobby Witt Jr. this week.

🔎 Multi Game Monitor
The Mets and Phillies travel to London for the #LondonSeries this weekend and will only be playing two games.
Last year, the final scores for this series were 9-1, and 5-7.
This stadium isn’t nearly as hitter-friendly as the one in Mexico City, but from what I’ve read it leans “noticeably hitter-friendly”.
Either way, they play just two games so hitters should be avoided for the most part.

☔️ Rain Check
The weather looks great this weekend outside of two cities!
St. Louis - 80% chance of rain Friday/89% AM thunderstorms Saturday
Kansas City - 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms Friday/39% PM thunderstorms Saturday
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Cole Ragans vs SEA - This is a prime strikeout spot for Ragans with the Mariners striking out at the highest rate in the league (27.5%). Ragans in 11th in the league with a 10.97 K/9.
Freddy Peralta at DET - Freddy has the 6th-highest K/9 mark (11.90) and is tied with Ragans for the 12th-best xFIP (3.02). Detroit is bottom-five in just about every category.
Brayan Bello at CWS - Bello hasn’t been great over his last several starts but he draws arguably the best matchup in the league against the White Sox who have lost 14 straight games. They whiff at the 9th-highest rate (23.6%). Bello is also a cheap pickup in the Sorare marketplace.
Other Starters Include:
Chris Sale at WSH
Max Fried at WSH
Garrett Crochet vs BOS
Tarik Skubal vs MIL
Framber Valdez at LAA
Joe Ryan at PIT
Luis Castillo at KCR
Kevin Gausman at OAK
📞 Call To The Bullpen
A good strategy we can continue to use is to target closers who have not pitched in a while.
This will ensure that they are fully rested and thus increase the likelihood of them earning a start.
Of course, they will also need to find them in a scenario where their team is winning in the late innings, but not by too much.
Closers With 1 Start Over The Last Six Days:
Kenley Jansen
Craig Kimbrel
Jhoan Duran
Mason Miller
Kirby Yates
Tanner Scott
Robert Suarez
Camilo Doval
💰 Stacks
Blue Jays
The Oakland Coliseum is bad for offense (and bad for watching games) but Toronto is in a great spot to do some damage here against these three starters.
The Jays are league-average across the board but have seen an uptick in production over the past few weeks.
Cubs
Sadly the Cubs did not make the cut for the London Series this year and will be traveling to Cincinnati instead.
These three pitchers all have potential but this ballpark is the best in the league for homers and the Cubs can offer some power at the top of their order.
Braves
I have a lot of respect for MacKenzie Gore as a starter but Irvin and Herz should find some trouble here.
The Braves lost Acuña for the season but are still 8th in ISO (.158) and 11th in wRC+ (103).
There you have it, the Sorare MLB Slate Breakdown for Game Week 21.
