Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
This was a great week for readers of the newsletter.
“Sorare Barcelona” took down Limited All Star. They won their first, first-place finish with a huge game from Teoscar Hernandez. Teo hit four homers during the Dodgers’ three-game series in New York
“Astronuts” also took down Limited Champion with huge games from everyone except Josh Hader.
He is a French reader who attended the London Series this weekend, then took down this contest and won $1,000.
And finally congrats to Jumpshoot who earned second place in Rare Champion for $500.
Jumpshoot was one of the very first subscribers and a loyal reader each and every week. Well deserved.

☔️ Rain Check
The weather doesn’t look too bad for a four-game week.
Just two cities carry Thursday risk, putting Tanner Houck and Aaron Nola at risk in particular.
Boston - 33% chance of isolated thunderstorms Thursday *RISK*
Minnesota - 39% chance PM showers Thursday *RISK*
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Garrett Crochet at SEA - The pitcher with the highest strikeout rate in the league (33.7%) faces the team that strikes out the most (27.5%). I predict we see some punchouts in this one. Crochet’s xFIP is also third-best in the league (2.50). It’s only a matter of time before he is a San Diego Padre.
Pablo Lopez and Joe Ryan vs COL - Colorado is a punching bag on offense and now they run into the Lopez/Ryan Combo.
It feels like Ryan has been much better than Lopez this year but their numbers aren’t that different across the board. At least one of them should put up a big game here.
Dylan Cease vs OAK - Oakland whiffs at the second-highest rate in the league (26.1%). The A’s lone strength is that they hit for a decent amount of power but Cease has done a good job keeping the ball in the yard this year. He has a 0.94 HR/9.
Other Starters Include:
Corbin Burnes at TBR
Tanner Bibee at CIN
Zack Wheeler at BOS
Aaron Nola at BOS *RISK*
Luis Castillo vs CWS
Sonny Gray vs PIT
Jack Flaherty vs WSH
Framber Valdez at SFG
Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs TEX
📞 Call To The Bullpen
With eight to choose from, it makes the most sense to target a closer from one of the teams playing four games.
This will maximize their chances of earning a save opportunity.
Closers With Four Games:
Craig Kimbrel - BAL
Michael Kopech - CWS
James McArthur - KCR
Jhoan Duran - MIN
Clay Holmes - NYY
Andres Muñoz - SEA
Pete Fairbanks - TBR
Mason Miller - OAK
💰 Stacks
Twins
Minnesota has the best opposing pitcher matchup I think I’ve seen all season. Four games against the Rockies at home and then one game at home against the A’s.
Everyone is ranked SP 236 or worse on FantasyPros.
Gomber is the only lefty here so guys like Carlos Correa, Max Kepler, Royce Lewis, and Trevor Larnach all look like smash plays this week.
Yankees
Seth Lugo and Brady Singer have looked great so far this year but the Yankees managed to escape the Royals’ ace in Cole Ragans this week.
Aaron Judge has been the best player on the planet for a month and the rest of this lineup can rack up homers in bunches.
Keep an eye on Juan Soto though because he has been day to day with forearm inflammation.
Other Stacks Include:
Mariners, Orioles, Rays, Padres
