Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
Shoutout to Bob Flynn, aka OrangeFly, for taking down Limited Champion in GW22 for $500.
The Yankees stacks got there once again and Craig Kimbrel was the closer you needed.
Also, a reader of the newsletter, “Catalunya Rockies”, hung on to fifth place in Limited AL and earned a star reward.
He played Yankees and Twins which were the two stacks mentioned in last week’s newsletter.

☔️ Rain Check
The weather doesn’t look too bad this week and no cities carry weather risk on Sunday, the most important day.
Boston - 73% chance PM thunderstorms Friday
Colorado - 56% chance PM thunderstorms Friday
Minnesota - 69% chance PM rain Saturday
New York City (Queens) - 73% chance PM thunderstorms Friday
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Freddy Peralta vs CIN - Peralta was a bust in his last start against the Tigers but I expect him to bounce back in this start against the Reds. Peralta still carries the fifth-highest strikeout rate in the league (31.6%) and Cincinnati strikes out at the sixth-highest (24.8%)
MacKenzie Gore vs MIA - If you’re looking for a cheap pickup for this Game Week then Gore looks like a solid option against a weak Miami lineup. The Marlins have the lowest ISO in the league (.118) and Gore sneakily has the 21st-best xFIP in the league (3.34)
Chris Sale vs TBR - Sale has been excellent outside of one start against Oakland. He gave up two homers to the A’s, who are actually a good power-hitting team. The same can’t be said about the Rays, who sit one slot above the Marlins in the ISO department (.119). They also strikeout at the 7th-highest rate (24.2%).
Other Starters Include:
Shota Imanaga vs CHC
Tarik Skubal at HOU
Justin Verlander vs DET
Nate Eovaldi at SEA
Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs KCR
Zack Wheeler at BAL
Tyler Glasnow vs KCR
George Kirby vs TEX
Bailey Ober vs OAK
📞 Call To The Bullpen
Notable Closers to return from injury this week include Eddwin Diaz and Andres Muñoz.
Muñoz pitched last night and blew a save to the White Sox so he may not be 100%.
Only Josh Hader and Carlos Estevez haven’t started in their teams’ last three or more games. This boosts their likelihood of starting over the weekend.
Other Closer Options Include:
Alexis Diaz - CIN
David Bednar - PIT
Camilo Doval - SFG
Emmanuel Clase - CLE
Jhoan Duran - MIN
Jason Foley - DET
James McArthur - KCR
💰 Stacks
Pirates
Pittsburgh is the obvious stack this week as they head to Coors Field to face Ryan Feltner, Ty Blach, and Dakota Hudson.
They will avoid Cal Quantrill, who has been the Rockies’ best pitcher by a decent margin this year.
The Pirates have been a weak-hitting team this year (fourth-worst ISO .217) but I can see a Bryan Reynolds, O’Neill Cruz, Ke’Bryan Hayes stack getting the job done here.
Twins
Minnesota is coming off a huge Game Week where they scored 32 runs off the Rockies’ pitching.
They are set up nicely for another strong Game Week with a home series against Oakland, who will be rolling out three pitchers who rank 97th or worse on FantasyPros.
Spence and Estes are both righties and Sears is a lefty, so the left-handed bats for the Twins should get some solid at-bats.
Blue Jays
I know Cleveland is one of the best teams in the league and Toronto has been a disappointment, but the Jays happened to catch the back-half of the Guardians rotation which happens to be pretty bad.
You could make the case for one or two Blue Jays to mix and match with your other higher-priority stacks.
Other Stacks Include:
Yankees, Diamondbacks, Cubs, Brewers
