Sorare MLB GW27 Breakdown | Domingo Perfection
Welcome to the Sorare MLB Game Week 27 Breakdown!
My goal for these slate breakdowns is to create an all-in-one place for users to get an overview of each Game Week and use that information to pinpoint marketplace inefficiencies and construct a winning team.
I will be focusing on the Limited tier cards when referencing market prices as this is where the majority of Sorare users will be playing, and where there is the most liquid market.

Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
Domingo Germán’s Wednesday night perfect game against Oakland earned him the top spot with an even 50 Sorare points.
I would be cautious here with Domingo, as his performance was likely more matchup-based than reflective of his 4.22 xFIP.
Also, Patrick Corbin? I never thought I’d see the day.
He managed nine strikeouts vs Seattle, which continues to be one of the best matchups for K’s.
Brewers, Brewers, Brewers.
Milwaukee managed to put three relievers on this list with three narrow wins over the Mets, including wins of 2-1, 5-2, and 3-2.
Devin Williams remains an awesome closer to have on your roster with his talent combined with the Brewers’ tendency to be in tight contests.
ShoTime unsurprisingly took the crown this week, extending his league-leading home run total to 29 on the season.
Also, the Dodgers and Rangers stacks I had highlighted last week performed nicely.
Both J.D. Martinez and Mookie Betts finished with 73 and 56 Sorare points, respectively.
Ezequiel Duran would have been tied for seventh with 64 had this list been extended, and Marcus Semien finished fourth overall at Middle Infield with 42.

⚾️ Pitching Primer
Michael Kopech/Dylan Cease at OAK
I have streamed pitchers against Oakland all season and I will continue to do so, especially after they let Domingo German throw a perfect game against them last night.
German’s numbers aren’t even particularly good on the year, ranking 24th-worst out of 67 qualified pitchers in xFIP (4.22).
Kopech still leads the majors in walk-rate (13.1%) and he’s been cold over his last three starts, but we’ve seen the upside he can bring to the table this year and we could see another ceiling game here against the A’s.
Cease ranks ninth in K% (27.8%) which matches up well with Oakland’s bottom-5 strikeout rate (24.8%). The A’s are also dead-last in wOBA over the last two weeks (.239).
Limited Prices: ~$5 Kopech, ~$14 Cease
Freddy Peralta/Corbin Burnes at PIT
Speaking of ice-cold offenses, over the last two weeks the Pirates are second-worst in wOBA (.249), seventh-worst in K% (26%), and dead-last in ISO (.095).
Peralta and Burnes haven’t quite been the pitchers we expected them to be this year but this is more of a matchup-based play for two established pitchers who have flashed upside a few times this year.
Here are the numbers on the year for these two per Fangraphs:
Peralta: 9.85 K/9, 3.65 BB/9, 4.25 xFIP
Burnes: 8.49 K/9, 3.15 BB/9, 4.18 xFIP
Limited Prices: ~$7 Peralta, ~$17 Burnes
Other Starters Include:
~$39 Shane McClanahan at SEA
~$33 Bobby Miller vs KC
~$19 Tyler Glasnow at SEA
~$29 Kevin Gausman vs BOS
~$28 Zac Gallen at LAA
~$151 Spencer Strider vs MIA
~$10 Pablo Lopez at BAL
~$34 Gerrit Cole at STL
~$15 Zack Wheeler vs WSH
📞 Call To The Bullpen
With all teams playing three games this week, we can try our best to target closers from the teams we think can keep it close to maximize our chances of getting a save opportunity.
Series’ I am looking to target:
SDP/CIN, HOU/TEX, DET/COL, BOS/TOR
Closer Options:
~$17 Josh Hader
~$25 Alexis Diaz
~$6 Ryan Pressley
~$9 Will Smith
~$3 Alex Lange
~$2 Justin Lawrence
~$5 Kenley Jansen
~$19 Jordan Romano
💰 Stacks
Padres/Reds
The Padres and Reds will be going head to head in what should be a high-scoring three-game series at Great American.
San Diego will face Graham Ashcraft, Brandon Williamson, and Andrew Abbott in GW27.
Abbott has looked great in the first five starts of his career, but this looks like a tough spot going up against a powerful, right-handed heavy lineup in this home run-friendly ballpark.
Williamson has poor numbers against righties on the season, including a 2.30 HR/9, 10.8% walk-rate, and 5.73 xFIP.
I also included the Reds here because they will not face Blake Snell or Joe Musgrove in this series, and instead draw Yu Darvish, Seth Lugo, and whoever the Padres roll out as their fifth starter.
The Reds have been awesome lately, most notably their rookies Matt McLain and Elly De La Cruz.
Padres
~$175 Fernando Tatis Jr.
~$75 Juan Soto
~$40 Manny Machado
~$14 Xander Bogaerts
~$5 Gary Sanchez
Reds
~$12 TJ Friedl
~$35 Matt McLain
~$17 Jonathan India
~$167 Elly De La Cruz
~$11 Jake Fraley
Other Stacks to Consider:
Tigers, Rockies, Phillies, Dodgers
Value Options (Under $20):
Middle Infielder:
~$18 Thairo Estrada, ~$14 Orlando Arcia, ~$12 Ryan McMahon, ~$9 Geraldo Perdomo, ~$13 Carlos Correa, ~$13 Max Muncy
Corner Infielder:
~$11 Justin Turner, ~$19 Christian Walker, ~$19 Nick Castellanos, ~$16 Josh Naylor, ~$10 Isaac Paredes, ~$7 Marcell Ozuna, ~$19 Alex Bregman, ~$8 Triston Casas
Outfielder:
~$15 Eddie Rosario, ~$11 Jake Fraley, ~$7 TJ Friedl, ~$10 Taylor Ward, ~$13 Teoscar Hernandez, ~$15 Riley Greene, ~$18 Adam Duvall, ~$12 Jake McCarthy
