Don’t forget to tune into Episode 56 of Sideline Talk today at 2 pm ET.
I will be talking with OrangeFly about the recent DraftKings Reignmakers closure and his 12th-place finish in the Limited July Chase.
Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
The July Chase finished up last night.
Here is how the leaderboards look…
Limited ($5,000 to first)
Rare ($7,500 to first)
Super Rare ($10,000 to first)
Congrats to Link808, TylerCFC, and Juy12218 for the victories.
TylerCFC took down $7,500 for first when Ryan Helsley blew the save against the Cubs.
The players who finished in 2-4 all had Helsley, who finished with -2 for the blown save.
Tyler is also a Cubs fan, making this one of my favorite Sorare MLB moments.
Also, The Limited second-place winner, Kribbs, will be on the podcast next week to discuss his strategy and $2,500 score for runner-up.

🔎 Multi Game Monitor
All teams play three games!
☔️ Rain Check
No risk tags this week!
Thunderstorms are lurking across the map but I would bet that there won’t be any issues
Pittsburgh - Thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday but Sunday looks good
Cleveland - Thunderstorms Friday but Saturday/Sunday look good
Cincinnati - Thunderstorms Friday but Sunday looks good
Detroit - Thunderstorms Friday but Sunday looks good
Washington D.C. - Thunderstorms on and off all weekend but they should be able to squeeze in all three games. Not quite worthy of the risk tag.
New York City - Same as D.C. I’d bet all three games play :)
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Joe Ryan at CWS
The White Sox have lost 17 games in a row.
They recently traded away Tommy Pham and Eloy Jimenez and their lineup is looking more or less like a minor-league one.
Ryan has the 16th-best K/9 (9.81) and the 15th-best xFIP (3.38).
Chicago strikes out at the 8th-highest rate in baseball (24.1%) and higher now after their trades.
Michael King vs COL
King has been one of the best pitchers in the league over the last few months.
He has allowed more than two runs in just one of his last ten games.
King is tenth in K/9 (10.42) and 22nd in xFIP (3.51).
The Rockies strike out at the second-highest rate in the league (25.8%) and just struck out 15 times to Blake Snell in six innings.
*Double-check to see if King is still scheduled to pitch this week. He is no longer listed on FantasyPros, but their pitcher for Sunday is listed as “TBD”.
Zack Wheeler at SEA
The Mariners had a big series at Fenway but are returning home to one of the worst parks for offense.
They will also face Zack Wheeler who is one of the best pitchers in the game and the SP5 on FantasyPros.
Wheeler has a 3.53 xFIP and a 9.72 K/9.
Seattle continues to lead the league in K% (27.6%) and continues to be without J.P. Crawford and Julio Rodriguez.
Other Starters Include:
Justin Steele vs STL
Garrett Crochet at MIN
Hunter Greene vs SFG
Tarik Skubal vs KCR
Cole Ragans at DET
Jack Flaherty at OAK
Bailey Ober at CWS
Luis Gil vs TOR
Blake Snell at CIN
📞 Call To The Bullpen
All teams play three games so our best bet is to target closers on teams who are projected to be in competitive games and who have received adequate rest.
Here’s a list of some solid options.
Closer Options:
Emmanuel Clase - CLE
Ryan Helsley - STL
Kyle Finnegan - WSH
Craig Kimbrel - BAL
Robert Suarez - SDP
Clay Holmes - NYY
Raisel Iglesias - ATL
💰 Stacks
Padres
The Padres have been one of the hottest teams in baseball and now get to face the Rockies rotation.
Colorado hasn’t listed one of their starters for this week but it shouldn’t matter all that much.
Fernando Tatis still isn’t back but Luis Arraez, Jurickson Profar, Xander Bogaerts, and manny Machado look like a nice stack this week.
The Rockies’ bullpen xFIP is 4.55 which is tied with the White Sox for 29th in the league.
Dodgers
The Dodgers lineup looks a lot weaker without Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, however, Freeman could return soon and Gavin Lux has been performing well batting higher up in the order.
The matchup could not be better against the Athletics, who are rolling out three weak right-handed pitchers.
Give me Ohtani, Lux, Freeman (If he’s back), and even Outman for a stack.
Other Stacks Include:
Mets, Orioles, Braves, Brewers
There you have it, the Sorare MLB Slate Breakdown for Game Week 37.
