Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
Lot’s of victories this week.
Jumpshoot took down Limited All Star with a huge performance from Kyle Schwarber.
TJ Friedl hit homers in back-to-back games against the Marlins to secure 78 points here.
The Reds were one of the top stacks last week and even someone like Friedl took advantage of the spot.
DetroitBadBoy started playing Sorare MLB because of the July Chase and ended up with a third-place score in International Icons shortly after.
And yes he will be coming on the pod at some point to tell his story.
And lastly, shoutout to Simon Mittermeyer for a tenth-place finish in Limited Majors.
He had Mets and Reds players that were talked about in last week’s newsletter.

☔️ Rain Check
Not much to worry about here.
Only two notable spots on Friday but I doubt any games will be bumped off the slate.
Boston - Heavy rain at night Friday but Sunday is open for a doubleheader
New York City - 80% chance of rain/thunderstorms (tornadoes?) possible Friday, Sunday looks open for a doubleheader
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Tyler Glasnow vs PIT
Glasnow has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the league all season.
He is ranked third in K/9 (11.62) and third in xFIP (2.62).
The Pirates are up to a 24.4% strikeout rate, which is the sixth-highest in the league.
He stands out at the top for me.
Dylan Cease at MIA
Cease and Blake Snell are the hottest pitchers in baseball right now.
A rain delay unfortunately ended his last outing prematurely, but he was likely on pace for a strong outing against Pittsburgh.
In July he had games of 11 and 10 strikeouts with zero runs, followed by a nine-strikeout no-hitter against the Nationals.
His K/9 is ranked fourth in baseball (11.51) and his xFIP is seventh-best (3.17).
Logan Webb vs DET
Webb is a tier below the other guys but I love targeting the Tigers right now.
Webb threw a complete game shutout against the Athletics two starts ago and this matchup is another soft one.
Webb’s strikeout rate doesn’t pop off the page but his xFIP is 13th-best at 3.36.
Other Starters Include:
Chris Bassitt vs OAK
Gerrit Cole vs TEX
Robbie Ray vs DET
Logan Gilbert vs NYM
Corbin Burnes at TBR
Bailey Ober vs CLE
Sean Manaea at SEA
Zack Wheeler at ARI
Paul Skenes at LAD
📞 Call To The Bullpen
Both Jhoan Duran and Emmanuel Clase stand out quite a bit on this slate.
Both play four games and both are two of the best closers in the league.
Closers With Four Games:
Jhoan Duran - MIN
Emmanuel Clase - CLE
Other Closers Include:
Kenley Jansen - BOS
Andres Muñoz - SEA
Raisel Iglesias - ATL
Kyle Finnegan - WSH
Devin Williams - MIL
Alexis Diaz - CIN
💰 Stacks
Twins
We still don’t know one of the pitchers Minnesota will face from the Guardians but it won’t be Ben Lively of Carlos Carrasco.
The first game today will be Triston McKenzie, which is a highly favorable spot.
Either way, this is a great spot for the Twins, who play one extra game in this Game Week.
Royce Lewis is a smash play, but you can pair him with Max Kepler or Byron Buxton.
Braves
Atlanta has just three games instead of four, but the spot against the Rockies at Coors Field is enticing.
Austin Riley is heating up and he’s one of the best plays of the entire slate.
Matt Olson has also turned it around after a slow start, and I don’t hate adding in Marcell Ozuna and Jorge Soler as well.
Other Stacks Include:
Guardians, Padres, Blue Jays, Angels
