⏪ Game Week Rewind
HimerSompson took down Rare All Star and Super Rare All Star this weekend.

☔️ Rain Check
For the first time this year, there are zero weather issues
I went through every city and there should be clear skies until Thursday! :)
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Tarik Skubal vs SEA
Skubal against Seattle is the kind of stuff I dream about.
He is 7th in K/9 (10.74) and 5th in xFIP (2.90) on the year.
The Mariners strike out at the highest rate in the league (27.8%) and they play at the most pitcher-friendly park in the majors.
JRod should be back in the lineup this week but I don’t think it changes much for the outlook of this spot.
Luis Gil at CWS
Gil sometimes implodes but you can’t overlook this spot against the hapless White Sox.
Gil has had big games against the Orioles and the Red Sox over his last five games, so a matchup versus the worst team in baseball sounds pretty nice.
He has a 10.56 K/9 on the year and Chicago whiffs at the 8th-highest rate in baseball (24.2%).
Hunter Greene vs STL
Greene is similar to Gil in that sometimes he decides not to show up.
However, this matchup against St. Louis is enticing and Greene has games of 11, and 10 strikeouts over his last five outings.
The Cardinals strikeout about league-average but Greene has an impressive 10.17 K/9 on the year.
Other Starters Include:
Chris Sale at SFG
Zack Wheeler vs WSH
Brandon Pfaadt vs COL
Framber Valdez at TBR
Cole Ragans at MIN
Blake Snell vs ATL
George Kirby at DET
Sonny Gray at CIN
Kevin Gausman vs LAA
📞 Call To The Bullpen
There are seven teams playing four games this week, so we should be prioritizing the closers on each of those teams.
The Giants recently released Camilo Doval, so Ryan Walker has moved into the closer role for San Francisco.
Also, the Dodgers have been using a closer committee so we can safely avoid that situation.
Closers Playing Four Games:
Raisel Iglesias - ATL
Kenley Jansen - BOS
Devin Williams - MIL
Jhoan Duran - MIN
Ryan Walker - SFG
Kirby Yates - TEX
💰 Stacks
Rangers
This isn’t the 2023 Rangers but I love the spot here against these specific pitchers at Fenway, plus the extra game against Woods-Richardson on Thursday.
Crawford has surrendered the most homers in the league (27) and Bello has allowed a homer in eight of his last ten games.
Even Houck is on a four-game stretch of poor outings, including a six-run start against the Rangers about a week ago.
Give me Corey Seager, Adolis Garcia, Josh Smith, and Marcus Semien at the top.
Dodgers
The pitching matchups could be better, but the Dodgers have one of the top offenses in baseball and will be one of the seven teams playing four games this week.
They will also be getting Mookie Betts back today which is a huge boost to their team.
All of these pitchers are righties so Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani look like excellent starts.
I think we see Betts, Freeman, and Shohei on some winners this week.
Other Stacks Include:
Braves, Red Sox, Twins, Brewers
