Let’s dive in!
⏪ Game Week Rewind
Shoutout to “SorareTT” who placed second in Limited Pro in GW49.
Chris Sale was impressive in a tough matchup against the Dodgers.
Also, Josh Hader ended up being the best RP play on the board with two saves in the Game Week.
He has pitched in four of the last six games though, and may require some rest this week.

☔️ Rain Check
Trying something different in this section this week.
I will copy/paste the forecast from Weather.com so readers can get a more visual look.
These two cities have rain issues, but if I had to guess, there wouldn’t be anything to worry about.
Baltimore (SFG at BAL)
Queens, NY (WSH/PHI at NYM)
⚾️ Pitching Primer
Sonny Gray vs PIT
Gray has maintained a high floor all season.
His K/9 (10.92) is the fifth-highest in MLB, and his xFIP is just behind Chris Sale at 2.83.
He has sneakily been one of the best pitchers in the league this year, despite playing for a disappointing Cardinals team.
Pittsburgh strikes out at the 7th-highest rate in the league (24.5%) and they are 27th in wRC+ (86) this year.
Chris Sale at CIN
Sale has been the best pitcher in the league this year and I don’t think that’s a controversial statement.
I don’t love targeting pitchers traveling into Great American, but Sale has shown that he is matchup-proof and stadium-proof all year.
He is first in xFIP (2.63) and first in K/9 (11.42) on the season.
Cole Ragans vs DET
The Tigers have been pretty good on offense of late, but I prefer to target them with left-handed pitchers like Ragans.
Similar to Gray, he’s carried a high ceiling all year, with the occasional spike game in a favorable matchup.
He is fourth in K/9 (10.96) and 15th in xFIP (3.42) on the year.
Detroit strikes out at the ninth-highest rate in baseball (24.0%).
Other Starters Include:
Tarik Skubal at KCR
Paul Skenes at STL
Shota Imanaga vs OAK
Framber Valdez at SDP
Yusei Kikuchi vs LAA
Jack Flaherty at MIA
Luis Gil at SEA
Zack Wheeler at MIL
📞 Call To The Bullpen
I look for four things when selecting closers in Sorare MLB.
Number of games they will play in the Game Week
Are they not in a closer committee
Are they in a matchup where I can see their team leading in the ninth
Has that closer made appearances recently
Keep in mind this is the most volatile and unpredictable position.
Here are some guys that stand out.
Closer Options:
Jhoan Duran - MIN - Has pitched once over last six
Ryan Helsley - STL - Has pitched once over last six
Raisel Iglesias - ATL - Has pitched twice over last six
Emmanuel Clase - CLE - Has pitched twice over last six
Devin Williams - MIL - Has pitched three times over last six
💰 Stacks
Diamondbacks
Arizona gets three games at Coors Field and one game against Tobias Myers and the Brewers on Thursday.
They will get two righties and one lefty in Denver, so I love this whole lineup top to bottom.
Since August 1st, they are first in wRC+ (134), first in ISO (.211), and first in wOBA (.366).
They stand out quite a bit here, fire all the snakes this week.
Dodgers
The Dodgers got pummeled so bad on Saturday that they brought in Miguel Rojas to pitch in the seventh.
But this is still one of the best offenses in the league, and now they draw three matchups against the Marlins after finishing up their series in Atlanta tonight.
The Miami series is what stands out the most.
Marlins pitching has been dreadful of late, and I think we see this lineup do some damage against the fish.
Other Stacks Include:
Cubs, Mets, Braves, Angels
