⚾️ Pitching Primer
Zack Wheeler at NYM (SP4)
The Mets aren’t the Marlins, but Wheeler still holds the top FantasyPros rank for pitchers in this Game Week. He’s 10th in K/9 this year with an 11.78 mark.
Spencer Strider vs STL (SP7)
Strider had 97 pitches in his first start against Toronto and draws another good matchup versus St. Louis. Let’s not forget his 2022 cards are RP-eligible for those still holding those.
Garrett Crochet vs SEA (SP9)
Seattle has been striking out at just a league-average rate this year (23%), but Crochet has been dominant this year, allowing just two runs over his last four and racking up 31 punch outs.
Cole Ragans vs COL (SP12)
This may be my favorite play of the week as long as the weather holds up (See below for Premium subs). Ragans is second in K/9 (13.66) and second in xFIP (2.33).
Other Starters Include:
Jacob deGrom at ATH (SP15)
Corbin Burnes vs TBR (SP20)
Spencer Schwellenbach vs STL (SP21)
Hunter Brown vs TOR (SP32)
Bailey Ober vs CWS (SP41)
💰 Stacks
Giants
This series will be played at Oracle Park but this is a solid pitching matchup outside of Freddy Peralta.
Only four teams have four games this week, and the Giants have been solid on offense this year.
They rank eighth in ISO (.174) in MLB this season, and I like a Willy Adames (Revenge series) and Matt Chapman stack.
Royals
Kansas City plays just three games but they draw an elite matchup against the Rockies at home.
Give me some Jonathan India, Bobby Witt Jr. and Sal Perez.
Red Sox
Boston has been listed in the stacks section a lot lately, but they keep drawing solid matchups at home.
They finish up their series against the White Sox here, but then draw some tough ones against the Mariners.
The four games and the ballpark put this stack in play again, and the Sox have been about league-average across the board this year.
