⚾️ Pitching Primer
Tarik Skubal vs BAL (SP2)
Skubal’s advanced stats don’t pop off the page so far this season (for his standards), but he still gets the second-best SP rank on FantasyPros. Baltimore has the 11th-highest K% this year (23.3%).
Paul Skenes at LAD (SP3)
Arguably the best pitcher in the game going up against the best offense in the game. Skenes is matchup-proof, but perhaps a ceiling game won’t happen in this spot. If you have his Sorare card, you’re still playing him though.
Logan Gilbert vs MIA (SP4)
Gilbert should smash here against a weak Marlins lineup at home. His numbers have been outstanding this season. He has the second-best K/9 (13.50) and the best xFIP (1.62).
Chris Sale at ARI (SP6)
Sale has underwhelmed this season (along with all of the Braves), but FP is still giving him some love early on in the season. Arizona is a tough-ish matchup, but Sale can pop off for big games at any moment.
Other Starters Include:
Dylan Cease vs TBR (SP10)
Tyler Glasnow vs PIT (SP12)
Max Fried vs TOR (SP15)
Sonny Gray vs MIL (SP18)
Joe Ryan vs LAA (SP24)
💰 Stacks
Reds
Elly De La Cruz feels like a must-have on this slate.
The Reds are all going to project well in this spot at Coors Field against three beatable pitchers.
Give me Matt McLain and Elly at the top, but you could also sprinkle in some players from this team across your lineups.
Mets
The Mets have the best record in baseball and now head to the Nation’s Capital to take on three not-so-good pitchers.
You can’t go wrong with a Lindor-Soto-Alonso stack at the top.
Athletics
This is more of a puke-stack, but the A’s draw a great matchup here against the White Sox.
All three pitchers here are righties, so I love the idea of prioritizing Lawrence Butler wherever you can.
Other Stacks Include:
Mariners, Tigers, Cardinals, Twins
